The final exam for this class is scheduled for Tuesday, December 20, 8:00-10:50 am in room PH 32 (the same room that the class meets).

Your grade in this class will be determined as follows: There will be several quizzes (approximately one every other class), both in-class and take-home, one in-class midterm, taking a whole session , and a final exam. The quizzes count cumulatively for 20% of your grade, the midterms count cumulatively for 40% and the final exam counts for the remaining 40%. In sum:

Quizzes	20%
Midterm	40%
Final	40%

However, in order to pass the class it is required that you receive a passing grade in the final. Class participation and homework can earn extra credit. Homework will be assigned after every class.
