Grades

Your grade in this class will be determined as follows: There will be several quizzes (approximately one every other class), both in-class and take-home, two in-class midterms, taking a whole session each, and a final exam. The quizzes count cumulatively for 20% of your grade, the midterms count cumulatively for 40% and the final exam counts for the remaining 40%. In sum:

Quizzes20%
Tests40%
Final40%
However, in order to pass the class it is required that you receive a passing grade in the final. Class participation and homework can earn extra credit. Homework will be assigned after every class.
