Midterm exam.

The midterm will take place on Thursday, March 25, during regular class time.

Grades

Your grade in this class will be determined as follows: There will be several quizzes (approximately one every other week), both in-class and take-home, one in-class midterm, taking a whole session, and a final exam. The quizzes count cumulatively for 20% of your grade, the midterm counts for 40% and the final exam counts for the remaining 40%. In sum:

Class participation and homework can earn extra credit. Homework will be assigned after every class, and some of the problems will be designated as Extra Credit. Submitting solutions to those problems can earn you up to 20% of your total grade.

Tutoring lab

Tutoring help for all math classes is available at the Department's Tutoring Lab In addition to general tutoring help there also special tutoring sessions for Math 30. The schedule is as follows:
