Grades

Your grade in this class will be determined as follows: There will be several quizzes (approximately once every week) both in class and take home, two in-class midterm tests (each taking a whole section) and a final exam. The quizzes count cumulatively for 20% of your grade, the tests count cumulatively for 40% (20% each) and the final exam counts for the remaining 40%. In sum:

Quizzes 20%
Tests 40% (20% each)
Final Exam 40%

Additional extra credit may be earned with class participation and homework.

After each quiz or test your scores will be posted online. To see your scores follow this link, identify your ID number and follow the corresponding link.

Exam dates

The first midterm will be on Wednesday March 12 and the second midterm is on Wednesday April 16. Each midterm will last the whole class period. The final exam will take place on Monday May 19, 6:00–8:50 PM at CP 305. Please not that the final is on a different classroom, not the one the class meets.

Tutoring Lab

Tutoring help for all math classes is available at the Department's Tutoring Lab. In addition to general tutoring help there also special tutoring sessions for Math 30. The schedule is as follows:

Tuesday 4:00 - 8:00 pm
Wednesday 4:00 - 6:00 pm
Saturday 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
