SAGE Computer Algebra System

In this class we'll use the SAGE Computer Algebra System. All students should get accounts. Instructions for getting an account are here: How to get a SAGE account Once you have created an account you can access the system by visiting the SAGE login page.

Final Exam

The final exam for this class is scheduled for Thursday, December 22, 8:00-10:50 am in room CP 320 (the same room that the class meets).

Grades

Your grade in this class will be determined as follows: There will be several quizzes (approximately one every other class), both in-class and take-home, one in-class midterm, taking a whole session , and a final exam. The quizzes count cumulatively for 20% of your grade, the midterms count cumulatively for 40% and the final exam counts for the remaining 40%. In sum:

However, in order to pass the class it is required that you receive a passing grade in the final. Class participation and homework can earn extra credit. Homework will be assigned after every class.
