Marudubshinki has deleted pages with the {{subst:prod}} tag on it while there was objection to it and discussion existed on the talk page Talk:OWMC. Could someone look into this? and is this a possible reason to desysop him for the duration of the arbitration process? TheSeer (TalkˑContribs) 04:20, 31 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

See my reply on the talk and the AFD I started. And no, it isn't. --maru (talk) contribs 04:45, 31 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Improper deletion of myg0t[edit]

Not sure where I should put this or if it's relevant to this particular ArbCom hearing, but Marudubshinki deleted the myg0t article without following proper AfD process. The AfD was apparently opened and then closed only hours later, giving most users no chance to vote or even notice the AfD. Also, the reason given for the deletion was "Sayonara". That action was motivated by nothing but a personal vendetta and is something that an admin should never do. There is more information available on the myg0t talk page. I have asked someone with more knowledgeable of wikipedia to find and contribute evidence of this, since I am unsure how to.--LifeEnemy 00:10, 1 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The history for myg0t on [1] shows he put the protected deleted template in place, however it would require an admin to confirm that he deleted the page. The AfD record is located at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Myg0t . The AfD was opened at 00:54, 13 May 2006 (UTC) and closed by Marudubshinki 06:40, 13 May 2006 (UTC). Note this is less than 6 hours later, and occured during the middle of the night for our European and East coast US editors. The article has since seen repeated calls for undeletion by a wide variety of new and experienced editors, and has been DRVed repeatedly. Often the contributions to the DRV have been along the lines of 'it has been deleted before, so preserve the status quo' or 'violation of a previous AfD' despite the dubious (at best) nature of the original AfD eg [2] and previous AfD and DRV linked within. Perhaps this should be moved onto the request for arbitration page? Modest Genius talk 23:59, 1 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for that. I have submitted the AfD record as evidence. I'm not sure, but I think there may be other instances similar to myg0t that Marudubshinki was involved in. If you know of any, I'd like to add those to the evidence. --LifeEnemy 03:16, 2 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

While we're here... LifeEnemy, if you wish to pursue your "personal vendetta" against me, start a separate ArbCom case. ArbCom cases are not supposed to be opportunities for anyone whom the subject has ever offended or annoyed to pile on with their particular grievance. --maru (talk) contribs 04:00, 2 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
agreed, this is NOT yet another myg0t DRV. However, if the information is pertinent... Modest Genius talk 14:09, 2 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I don't have a vendetta against you, and I don't care too much about the subject of myg0t (I haven not been involved in any processes). I am, however, rather offset when I encounter opinion and bais getting in the way of someone's objectivity and good judgement, which is something you, as an admin, should not allow to happen. And since this ArbCom is about you voilating policy and abusing admin privileges, I am providing another example of why you may be unfit for adminship.
Modest Genius, please tell me, would you consider this information pertinent?--LifeEnemy 00:04, 3 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
No... this ArbCom case is about me violating BOT policy, not the deletion policy. I stand by my myg0t deletion, which if you'll recall was upheld in a rather active DRV discussion. --maru (talk) contribs 01:33, 3 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
It doesn't matter, the information has already been submitted and will probably be considered when deciding whether to desysop you or not. It isn't either one of our's call as to the relevence of the myg0t deletion anyway, although I think the commitee will appreciate to notification. If I may ask, why did you end the AfD so early?--LifeEnemy 03:23, 3 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Personally, I doubt it. If I am de-sysopped, it won't be because of myg0t, that much I am sure about. "It isn't either one of our's call as to the relevence of the myg0t deletion anyway" <-- obviously I disagree. If controversial admin decisions are to be dragged in, might as well add an evidence section on my move of "Islamofascism (term)" to "Islamofascism", for which I got flamed by better editors than all the complainers about myg0t put together! I mean, sheesh.
As for why... I did it for the reasons I said I did. Nothing more or less. No personal vendetta - as I've said, I've never run into myg0t online. (Can't even get Halflife running on Linux). --maru (talk) contribs 03:35, 3 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
More evidence of improper admin behavior = more chance of losing said adminship. That is all.
Oh, wait, so, you decide what's relevant? Not the commitee hearing the case? Alright, just wanted to clear that up!
I would bring Islamofascism evidence here as well, but I don't care enough to go find it. --LifeEnemy 07:43, 3 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
