Evidence

A discussion was started here about keeping/removing a genre. The 131.X IP disagreed with the consensus, suddenly an influx of new users appeared on the scene (Obvious SPAs) in an attempt to influence the discussion (All of the new accounts have disagreed with the consensus). Comment - The most notable aspect of this user's sockpuppetry was his casting of three separate votes in a consensus discussion using one account and two IP addresses: 1 2 3. (He later removed one of the three: link after confirming that he did cast the IP votes: link.) During the consensus discussion, Spooky873 also solicited for support on a fan message board: link, including detailed guidance on how to "cast a vote": link. Conclusions: I've blocked the logged in accounts indefinitely as obvious sockpuppets. I've also blocked the master account for 48 hours, considering that the sockpuppets are active. As for the IP's, they are likely sock / meat puppets, however, they are not active, so no action will be taken upon them.
