Suspected sockpuppets[edit]

Identical edits to Augustine Washington, Taejo of Joseon (also Hongwu Emperor). Changing birthdates to preferred unsourced/badly sourced dates & always using unreliable sources (including other language wikipedias, familysearch, and findagrave). Similar reaction when other editors send notices about their behavior to usertalk or when his/her/their edits are reverted. When reverted, editor then will often post their sources in their edit summaries. Shearonink (talk) 13:49, 13 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • Add Johann van Beethoven to the list of articles above - another identical edit. See this latest edit from 이성계1 on Johann van Beethoven - an article that 이성계1 had never edited before until today. But an article that Beale ciphers had just edited with their preferred (completely/badly-sourced if sourced at all) content...coincidence? I think not. • These accounts seem to have a fixation changing somewhat unknown but sourced birth dates that are 1)a year with no date (Augustine Washington) or 2)having a range of a year or two (Johann van Beethoven) to specific November dates. Shearonink (talk) 23:06, 13 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Possibly related to SpencerTarrence7981 & that account's sock Kara4554. Kara4554 exhibits identical editing behavior at Augustine Washington, changing his birthdate to the unsourced date of November 12th, 1694. Shearonink (talk) 04:12, 14 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • The following are  Confirmed to each other:
  • All the accounts are evading an IP block for the same behaviour.  Behavioural evidence needs evaluation to compare to the older  Stale accounts suggested as a possible master.-- Ponyobons mots 19:25, 23 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
