Issues to be mediated[edit]

Primary issues (added by the filing party)
  1. We can't agree on whether calculating median wages from the OECD data considered original research, or not.
  2. Also, the user insists on using tax calculators for deriving net wages which he/she continues to use even while it was admitted before that it was a violation.
I just thought that it's normal here to use tax calculators for the articles. They are used in several articles about european and american average wages, and nobody said that it was an OR violation. Jeune091 (talk) 20:53, 16 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Decision of the Mediation Committee[edit]

  • Reject: I'm going to reject this one in accordance with prerequisite to mediation #9, that the chairperson "has the discretion to refuse or refer back to other dispute resolution venues (e.g. dispute resolution noticeboard, third opinion, request for comment, or additional talk page discussion) a dispute which would benefit from additional work at lower levels of the dispute resolution process". This should go to Third Opinion and/or DRN before coming here, though a trip to the original research noticeboard might be in order even before those steps. If those processes fail to end the dispute, this case may be refiled. For the Mediation Committee, TransporterMan (TALK) 23:23, 16 July 2017 (UTC) (Chairperson)[reply]
