There were calls for boycotts of Jimmy Johns after pictures started circulating on social media showing the founder of Jimmy John's posing with big game such as rhinos that he had killed. This news event was covered by most national news outlets including the Wall Street Journal. In spite of extensive news coverage of an incident with implications for not just the company founder but the company as well, editor Mendaliv refuses to allow mention of hunting in the Jimmy John's article. Of particular concern is that the Jimmy John's article has been marked as unbalanced because "A major contributor to this article appears to have a close connection with its subject." Mendaliv is responsible for this lack of balance because s/he will not allow information such as this to be covered in the Wikipedia article.
