January 10[edit]

This is a list of redirects that have been proposed for deletion or other action on January 10, 2024.

Capo Plaza[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was speedy keep. Happy to withdraw now that a page has been created. (non-admin closure) Cavarrone 23:39, 10 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Suggesting deletion. Currently a redirect to List of number-one hits of 2018 (Italy), but the singer is also present in List of number-one hits of 2019 (Italy) and List of number-one hits of 2021 (Italy), and there is no clear reason to prefer one year instead of another. Per WP:REDLINK a redlink would be more useful, as it would encourage editors to create the page. Cavarrone 22:04, 10 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • Ineligible and should be closed now that I've converted the redirect into an article with translated text from it:Capo Plaza. Ss112 23:10, 10 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

3-2[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was disambiguate. Jay 💬 05:29, 18 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I doubt that the rapper (Mr. 3-2) is the primary topic of this rather generic number combination, given the existence of 3-2 (song) and 3-2 engineering, and the redirects 3-2 program, 3-2 pulldown, and 3-2 zone. BD2412 T 22:03, 10 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I think change the redirect to dab is more reasonable as you mentioned the existence of different topic with the same name FuzzyMagma (talk) 23:09, 10 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'll build a draft dab on the page, then. BD2412 T 02:03, 11 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was delete. plicit 00:38, 18 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Suggesting deletion. Currently a redirect to List of number-one hits of 2018 (Italy), but the duo is also present in List of number-one hits of 2015 (Italy), List of number-one hits of 2016 (Italy), and List of number-one hits of 2019 (Italy) and it is unclear why the 2018 list was favoured. Per WP:REDLINK a redlink would be more useful, as it would encourage editors to create the page. Cavarrone 21:57, 10 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Luchè[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was delete. plicit 00:39, 18 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Suggesting deletion. Currently a redirect to List of number-one hits of 2022 (Italy), but Luchè is also present in the List of number-one hits of 2019 (Italy). Considering his multiple hits and the fact he certainly passes GNG (see relevant page on it.wiki), per WP:REDLINK a redlink would be more useful, as it would encourage editors to create the page. Cavarrone 21:47, 10 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete to encourage article creation. --Lenticel (talk) 00:21, 11 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Mr Devil[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was disambiguate. Also moving to "Mr." version, as most entries are of this form. (non-admin closure) Utopes (talk / cont) 22:29, 20 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

It is not helpful to redirect to a target that has no mention of the subject in question. These redirects do imply that these songs charted, so they may be notable per WP:NSONG. Deletion to encourage article creation may be desirable. -- Tavix (talk) 21:24, 21 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Comment: "Mr. Devil" could also refer to the Devil. No opinion on the rest. Duckmather (talk) 18:14, 28 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Relisted to generate a more thorough discussion and clearer consensus.
Please add new comments below this notice. Thanks, Jay 💬 14:14, 3 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete - target is unhelpful and redirecting this to Devil would be COSTLY. Redirects with Mr., Ms., etc could be added for essentially every bio. However, these are unnecessary and unhelpful. Unless there is some prevalent usage, this should be deleted altogether. ‡ El cid, el campeador talk 16:44, 3 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget to Ken Daneyko as it is a known moniker (minus the .). Bangalla#Citizens and Rabbit-Proof Fence also have Mr. Devil's but they seem to be only notable in-universe --Lenticel (talk) 00:14, 4 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was retarget and keep.

Anyone found mentions to different pages? If not, retarget to Burglar (disambiguation) as R from incomplete disambiguation. It's not mentioned in Aardman Animations#Films and Aardman filmography. 176.33.241.125 (talk) 14:50, 10 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Redirect created in error after a messy move. Geardona (talk to me?) 00:47, 10 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment I encouraged the editor to come to RFD rather than using CSD. We see a lot of misspelled redirects tagged for CSD G6. This was an innocent mistake during a page move. Liz Read! Talk! 02:21, 10 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete. There is no such "(redirect)" disambiguator, and all pages with this disambiguator should be deleted. 176.33.241.125 (talk) 08:30, 10 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete A misspelling with a "(redirect)" disambiguator is a highly implausible search term. - Presidentman talk · contribs (Talkback) 20:11, 10 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per nom --Lenticel (talk) 05:26, 12 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete even the base name is at RFD which shows its not ambiguous anyway but if it was there would be no obvious target, would Mercury (redirect) target the planet, element or god? Crouch, Swale (talk) 18:59, 12 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
