This is a list of redirects that have been proposed for deletion or other action on March 29, 2020.

Reshef the Dark Being[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was delete. signed, Rosguill talk 20:21, 6 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Does not seem like a useful search term. Though it is mentioned in the redirect target, few people will be searching for an individual card here as Reshef the Dark Being is not a franchise trademark like Blue-Eyes White Dragon, Dark Magician (Yu-Gi-Oh!) or Exodia the forbidden one. 108.21.244.229 (talk) 23:42, 29 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete for now since there's no good targets at the moment and it might cause confusion in its current target. He's the big bad for the GBA game Yu-Gi-Oh! Reshef of Destruction but said article was converted to a redirect since 2011. --Lenticel (talk) 01:41, 30 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Mmmmmm...another questionably plausible mmisspelling of "disambiguation." I'm tilting towards delete on these two, as well. Regards, SONIC678 19:21, 29 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete. We should have a general rule that disambiguation redirects for which the word "disambiguation" is misspelled should be speedied. BD2412 T 19:25, 29 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Suburban Fantasy drafts[edit]

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was delete. signed, Rosguill talk 21:26, 5 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

"Suburban Fantasy World" was apparently the working title for Onward back when it was untitled (why would it still be untitled if it now has a title?), but strangely we don't have Suburban Fantasy World in the article namespace. I'm not really sure if we should have these redirects lying around, and I'm tilting towards delete (especially the "untitled" ones) unless justification can be given. Regards, SONIC678 19:07, 29 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • I don't know about the first one yet but delete the other 2 since Onward has a title and has been released in theaters. OcelotCreeper (talk) 20:47, 29 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete all - Unhelpful CNRs, after looking through the page history, there appear to have been no mergers, and these weren't redirects leftover from moving drafts to the articlespace, so WP:RDRAFT doesn't apply, either. Hog Farm (talk) 02:39, 30 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete the first as well now that I had the time to think. OcelotCreeper (talk) 17:08, 30 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Delete per WP:NEOLOGISM, see wikt:juvenoia. The Wiktionary link is included in Fear of children (without further mention), so that article might be a possible target. Narky Blert (talk) 16:34, 20 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete per nom. Fear of children does not specify either what juvenoia is. OcelotCreeper (talk) 16:40, 20 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Retarget - This is a bit of a curious issue. Since there's a distinction between 'ephebiphobia' as the loathing of young people generally and 'juvenoia' as the distaste for the culture of young people, what with all of the challenging of traditional values, I went ahead and created the section 'Ephebiphobia#Juvenoia'. I propose going over there instead. CoffeeWithMarkets (talk) 13:07, 22 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

We had the discussion Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2020 March 22#🄂 recently. This one is similar as 🅰 is not mentioned at the target either and may probably be used for other purposes as well, so a redirect to the symbol group Enclosed Alphanumeric Supplement might be appropriate. Also, that article links to this redirect; if it is retargeted, it could link to ABO blood group system directly to provide further explanation for the reader. 1234qwer1234qwer4 (talk) 18:58, 29 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • I've also added 🅿 as a similar case (with different current target) to the nomination. 1234qwer1234qwer4 (talk) 20:34, 29 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep per WP:REMOJI, the ABO emojis symbolize the blood types and the P emoji symbolizes parking. -- Tavix (talk) 20:41, 29 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep all - While alternate uses exist, indeed, for all of these redirects, there are overriding associations in every case. Things seem fine to me. CoffeeWithMarkets (talk) 05:12, 30 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep all per WP:REMOJI. These all have clear defined meanings that have a clearly relevant target article. Thryduulf (talk) 12:50, 30 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This isn't mentioned in the target article, but "Ptolemaeus" is mentioned at List of Mobile Suit Gundam SEED characters (and "Ptolemaios" at Mobile Suit Gundam 00 (both different spellings). I'm not sure about this use of "hallow" as an adjective. I can't mind many RS uses that aren't poor translations or have meanings other than "holy". If it must be kept, I suggest retarget to the disambigation page Hallowed Ground. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 10:27, 29 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep. Look. Nothing in R#CRD says that this should be deleted. D8 doesn't really, it says: If the redirect is a novel or very obscure synonym for an article name, it is unlikely to be useful. However, this has been useful—to over 400 readers in the past 3 years. Also, D8 is inferior to RHARMFUL, which concludes in: Therefore consider the deletion only of either harmful redirects or of recent ones. Is this harmful? No. Is this recently created? No.
Sure, it may be searched often just as a joke—but hey, redirecting them is better than putting them on a screen where they can start a draft with the Article Wizard. It can become a huge waste of time if they follow through with that process. Also, it isn't always a joke search—when multitasking you can get a bit forgetful, and your fingers may repetitively follow the same pattern on the keyboard. In that scenario, a straight redirect simply reduces the number of needless clicks.
Furthermore, what is to be gained from deleting this redirect? The clogging-up-search-engines argument doesn't apply in this case, as the redirect will only show up if you search up 'J. R. R. R.'. When that happens for me there is no direct link in the search results to J. R. R. Tolkien—only the redirect being immensely helpful in helping readers navigate to the primary topic. As such, nothing is to be gained by deleting this redirect—other than useless drafts and annoyed readers. — J947 (user | cont | ess), at 20:37, 29 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

From my view, this discussion has so far been delete !voters asserting that the redirect is implausible, or nonsense, or both – and keep !voters saying with evidence that implausibility/your view of nonsensicality does not matter. I wonder which posits the stronger argument... — J947 (user | cont | ess), at 20:47, 3 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment Would this typo be needed if one uses the search bar? I spell many searches wrong, yet the hovering suggested results understand what I mean. • Delete. Article titles mentioning it is a remake would be "Film name (year remake)". The 3 e's instead of 2 could be a plausible typo though. OcelotCreeper (talk) 18:00, 29 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • delete as unlikely misspelling --Lenticel (talk) 01:45, 30 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - I do want to say, though, that 'Halloweeen' itself, while an unlikely typo, appears to have at least some worth. This particular redirect isn't worth keeping. I would be way more on the fence if it were 'Halloweeen (2007 movie)' or something like that. CoffeeWithMarkets (talk) 05:23, 30 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

While SS Laura was renamed Ellen in 1881, her name didn't have three "L's" in it. I'm thinking we should delllete this redirect for that reason. Regards, SONIC678 05:18, 29 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Unlikely search term. Formerly an article. TheAwesomeHwyh 03:08, 29 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment WP:MAD Merge and Delete -- this was an article that was merged into the target article, so the WP:EDITHISTORY must be kept around somewhere. You could rename the redirect to some more useful name instead, and keep the edit history attached to it. Per WP:CWW this information needs to stay around. -- 65.94.170.207 (talk) 08:58, 29 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep per WP:MAD. The title is not in the way of anything else so it's best left where it is. Thryduulf (talk) 10:32, 29 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep for WP:ATT purposes and tag with {{R from Merge}}. Hog Farm (talk) 20:16, 29 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep as per above, also has got a nice number of pageviews. Pinging Tavix as he merged this redirect back into George Washington, and because he is an RfD regular. — J947 (user | cont | ess), at 20:46, 29 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep - Given how the redirect is reasonably helpful as is, all previous edit history aside, I'm inclined to disagree with deletion. As it stands when including the edit history, we should absolutely keep this. CoffeeWithMarkets (talk) 05:21, 30 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I can see someone holding the P key for too long here, but this misspelling doesn't seem to be plausible, and this seems to be more useless search bar clutter. Regards, SONIC678 00:23, 29 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I don't ssee why ssomeone would ssearch with this missspelling ass a common noun, other than holding the S key for too long. Maybe delete thesse redirectss, unlesss a jusstification can be provided. Regardss, SSONIC678 00:13, 29 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete: we shouldn't have redirects with misspellings or typos in a common disambiguator. These two redirects were the result of typos in the title upon creation, in both cases amended almost immediately. – Uanfala (talk) 00:57, 29 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
