Gordonrox24 (talk · contribs · count) Hi there! I have been editing Wikipedia for about four months. I have rollback right and user WP:TWINKLE very effectively. I am pretty much an all automated editor. I only edit manually to fix mistakes and add information. I participate in AFDs RFAs and tag articles for speedy deletion often. I am requesting a review to see what the community thinks of how I am operating and to see what I can improve on. Thanks! Gordonrox24 | Talk 01:47, 14 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Reviews

  • Saw your name in GrooveDog's RfA, thought I might review. I've seen you around new page patrolling, and can attest to the general quality of your edits there. It's nice work, with a few exceptions, such as this. Mistakes that I make occasionally. I'd request reading WP:WIHSD, a wonderful essay for those who want to do well in NPP. I've also seen you around AfD, where you do nice work as well, without any problems that I can see. Who knows, I could be wrong; maybe you tried to delete the main page. Moving on, about a third of your edits are with automated processes. This may or may not be a problem in RfA, leaning on not being one. Still, with only 3,000 edits, and 1,000 automated, that isn't much article experience. (I bring this up after seeing the admin-hopeful userbox; excuse me if this isn't the reason you want an editor review.) My advice would be to branch out. Hit the random article button a bit and fix stuff. Add references. Remove dead links. If that's not your thing, try new file patrol, and if that doesn't appeal to you, then try finding something that does in wiki-hell. If nothing there tickles your fancy, then you're dead on the inside. Have a nice evening, and happy editing. Lәo(βǃʘʘɱ) 02:48, 14 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Reply:Thanks! Haha that essay was great. They should alter that and make some of it policy. Seriously. I am not a terribly good writer so the automated stuff is where I like to roam, but I will defiantly keep that in mind and maybe have at an article to see where I can get it. Thanks again!--Gordonrox24 | Talk 14:59, 16 July 2009 (UTC) [reply]

Questions

  1. What are your primary contributions to Wikipedia? Are there any about which you are particularly pleased? Why?
I primarily patrol recent changes and new pages so my major contributions lie in the area of anti-vandalism.
  2. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
I have not had a real conflict since my first week here on Wikipedia when i tagged Joseph Armand Bombardier for deletion through WP:PROD and made many people upset. A true mistake on my part, brought on by pure inexperience and ignorance of the rules and policies.
