Nominator's rationale: That a person (e.g. Pat Buchanan or Harry S. Truman) is/was a member of Sons of Confederate Veterans may be a fact appropriate to mention in that person's article, but in most/all cases being a member of the SCV is a WP:NON-DEFINING characteristic (e.g. it wouldn't be appropriate to mention it in the article lead). This sort of category contributes to the huge number of categories that some pages are in. Comment The reason this intake has been specifically mentioned is that because for the first time in History of the Sri Lanka Navy, two officers have been selected to command the Sri Lanka Navy. Nevertheless, this can be deleted as proposed by the nominator. Keep - We have various bibliography categories. These are about a particular society. I don't follow why it's too broad.
