Redundant to List of countries by English-speaking population. Interstellarity T 🌟 11:42, 11 June 2019 (UTC)
- Merge per WP:REDUNDANTFORK and WP:PRESERVE. Andrew D. (talk) 09:43, 12 June 2019 (UTC)
- Redirect to List of countries by English-speaking population, with possible Merging of any useful sources not currently included in the target. Rorshacma (talk) 16:44, 12 June 2019 (UTC)
Hi @Interstellarity:, @Rorshacma:, @Andrew Davidson: I created the article in question as part of a series of similar articles which used the same style as this one and focus on other languages such as Russian, German, Italian, Polish and Portuguese. There are significant differences between the article List of countries by English-speaking population and Geographical distribution of English speakers such as the clarity regarding the source, the population size and the source year which allow to constantly update the figures with the most recent sources. These improvements can't be found in the mentioned redudant article which is rather confusing. Deleting Geographical distribution of English speakers would result not only in a loss regarding the series of article, but also in the effort put in searching the most appropriate source for every country, for which I did some research myself. I would instead consider leaving them both, or merging List of countries by English-speaking population into Geographical distribution of English speakers being the latter more updated, reliable and recent.FrankCesco26 (talk) 11:32, 17 June 2019 (UTC)

- Merge given that they cover the same topic. The question is which should be merged to which. I see that List of countries by French-speaking population and List of French-speaking countries are redirects to Geographical distribution of French speakers, therefore the same could be done here. Merging the content of List of countries by English-speaking population into Geographical distribution of English speakers would be consistent with other articles that start with "Geographical distribution of ...". - Merge Per Hzh. I get the AfD is for this article, but it seems to make the most sense for all the above stated reasons to merge List of countries by English-speaking population into Geographical distribution of English speakers. Newshunter12 (talk) 05:20, 19 June 2019 (UTC)
