A tag has been placed on Matthew Finlason requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. mhking (talk) 20:44, 1 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Matthewshowdown.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Matthewshowdown.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 22:59, 1 June 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Leo 22:59, 1 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Matthew_with_vase.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Matthew_with_vase.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. feydey (talk) 09:56, 2 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

June 2010[edit]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Matthew Finlason. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you. JamesBWatson (talk) 12:21, 2 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ricardo Gonzalez[edit]

I have reverted Ricardo Gonzalez back to a disambiguation page. Should you wish to create an article for the recording artist/film-maker please do so with an appropriate title per WP:D. Also please ensure that he does meet the relevant notability guidelines (WP:N, WP:BIO), and include enough references from independent reliable sources to verify the facts. Regards, wjematherbigissue 09:03, 25 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Judging by your username, I suspect that you may be the subject of the article. If this is the case, I recommend reading the following guideline: WP:COI. wjematherbigissue 09:37, 25 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Ricardo F. Gonzalez requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics. Request reason:

I work for a network and have been assigned the task of putting up articles that are true and valid. All content is verifyable either photowise and or handed to me either by the artist or the management. The Talent that is being posted such as the "Matthew Finlason" wiki article, a prolific host on HGTV and an inspiration to a lot of people was added by me upon the orders of HGTV. another one is by Cherrytree Recods, who handle artists like Lady Gaga and La Roux and Feist have also requested I add the pages for the newest member of the Record label. The reason I was blocked I feel is for not being able to type fast enough to have the content put up fast enough as I do have to work a certain amount of hours and I would like to have the block removed as it prevents the articles from being created. I am new to Wikipedia, so I dont think that putting the block on me is justifyable and this block doesnt and wont allow me to add the credentials needed to make the articles valid. I have not finished the articles because I am met with these insane notifications that I am well aware of and am resolving but I immendiatley get deleted and have to start from scratch again. I would be grateful if the block was lifted and was aloowed to post up honest articles about the people on the labels that are on the cusp of mainstream saturation. Matthew Finlason has a presence in the film and television industry and Ricardo F. Gonzalez opens tours for la Roux and Lady gaga as well as having his own image in the works but Cherrytree. All of the artists I do beleive meet the critera for allowance in Wikipedia.

Decline reason:

In other words, you have a conflict of interest and want to resume abusing this account as a marketing and publicity tool for your employer, in violation of all our rules about conflict of interest, advertising, etc. Orange Mike | Talk 01:02, 26 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
