January 2019[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Crystallizedcarbon. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions —specifically this edit to Ironside (cavalry)— because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Help Desk. Thanks. Crystallizedcarbon (talk) 20:42, 24 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

User:Candyandhatianfood4life[edit]

You placed a warning on the talk page at User talk:Candyandhatianfood4life yet you had made no reverts of any of their edits. This is not helpful. You also reported them to the Admin notice Board even though they had not vandalised on 4 occasions. Both of these actions are inconsistent with Wikipedia principles and policies. Please reverts these actions immediately. Thank you  Velella  Velella Talk   03:24, 30 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry about that Mikemyers345 (talk) 03:29, 30 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Tom Hadler[edit]

Hello, I know it says Tom is 6ft 2inches on the GFC website, but the club have got it wrong. Tom is my brother and I know he is 6ft 4Inches. Another source I have is that on Soccer Saturday on Sky sports, they did a feature on the Gillingham goalies, they listed Tom as 6ft 4inch which is his correct height. Another source is that on FIFA 19 he is listed as 6ft 4inch, this will be accurate as some people from EA go to the club and measure each player. A barnstar for you![edit]

The Anti-Vandalism Barnstar
You are doing great. Keep it up :) Abelmoschus Esculentus (talkcontribs) 02:40, 12 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

My edit was consistent with edits by various people over several weeks to maintain the article wording and avoid hyperbole. After having done this several times I gave a slightly different edit summary, the edit you reverted, to try and discourage people from repeating the WP:PUFFERY but if you look at the edit history for the page you will see my changes are very much consistent with saving the page from a long line of (possibly good faith but) misguided edits. You might also note that I make the extra effort to follow the WP:SIMPLE rules as I believe it helps show that my edits are in WP:GOODFAITH but many others do not. -- 109.76.211.42 (talk) 16:38, 14 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

About the message you left on my talk page[edit]

You've left "Riiconnect24 is homebrew so if your going to talk about that put it in here Homebrew_(video_games)" on my talk page. I've actually been modifying a previous contribution that has added RiiConnect24 to the article, and I've relocated it. I'm not the person who has added it originally to the article. You might want to inform the person who has originally replaced "WiiConnect24" with "RiiConnect24" at 10:02, 10 February 2019. Would additionaly appreciate if you can note that on my talk page under your added section. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dhtdht020 (talkcontribs) 16:17, 21 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Publishing the Thames British School Warsaw Article[edit]

Hello Mikemyers345!

The reason I'm getting in touch with you is really just to make a very kind request...

I noticed that you had recently edited the British School Warsaw article and was just wondering if you could help to publish the article on Thames British School Warsaw. I'd greatly appreciate any help you can offer.

Glad to see that you're a Super Mario Fan.

All the best,

Praevalebit — Preceding unsigned comment added by Praevalebit (talkcontribs) 16:19, 24 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Adult Swim/Cartoon Network Canada[edit]

Thanks for the assist this afternoon; it was getting to be a bear to try to explain that a YT video isn't a source, and the namecalling didn't help. I do have some feelers that Adult Swim will likely be replacing Comedy Gold on April 1st (thus the pulling of the hours from CN), but it's so far from being well-sourced (I've only found it on a few fanblogs; it looks like CG's owner is keeping it on the down-low purposefully as part of some viral campaign they want to spring on viewers) that I'm definitely not ready to post it in the articles. Vandalism Fighter Request for (early) Comment[edit]

Dear Mikemyers345,

I built a online tool prototype for (crowdsource) vandalism patrolling. I noticed that you revert vandalism very fast. What tool do you use? Can I ask you a few questions:

  1. What tool do you use, so that you are able to fight the vandalism that fast?
  2. What criteria do you use choose the anti-vandal tool?
  3. Here is my early prototype, what are a few most important missing features would you suggest(or anything in your long term wishlist)?

I look forward to input from Wikipedians like you who have the most experience in fighting vandalism.

Xinbenlv (talk) 22:25, 23 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't bite the newcomers. 2600:387:6:807:0:0:0:94's edits are not vandalism. Rockstonetalk to me! 19:23, 13 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Addendum: Okay, I kind of see why you think the user might be a vandal, "The inclusion of this hate speech in the article is literally violence" is kind of a troll-ish sentiment. Sorry for biting you! I think we should probably post on WP:AN/I though, because I don't think it is obvious vandalism. Rockstonetalk to me! 19:26, 13 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Reverting edits, vandalism and otherwise[edit]

Hello - I saw you reverted an edit on Last battle of the battleship Bismarck that doesn't appear to actually be vandalism (and I've restored it) - you should be more careful when reverting edits to make sure they actually are disruptive. Also, if the person you reverted questions you about it, it's probably best to respond to them, not revert their question. This type of behavior does not encourage new editors to continue editing. Thanks. Parsecboy (talk) 16:26, 20 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for June 29[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Wii U system software, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Homebrew (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Your draft article, Draft:Shift[edit]

Hello, Mikemyers345. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Shift".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! Mjs1991 (talk) 09:43, 6 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Keanu Reeves name in Spongebob new Movie Trailer[edit]

Hey, why did you put TBA instead of Sage besides Keanu Reeves role in Spongebob. He literally said his name was Sage in the new trailer that was released today. I don't understand? TheBigGuy895 (talk) 20:42, 14 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Google Code-In 2019 is coming - please mentor some documentation tasks![edit]

Hello,

Google Code-In, Google-organized contest in which the Wikimedia Foundation participates, starts in a few weeks. This contest is about taking high school students into the world of opensource. I'm sending you this message because you recently edited a documentation page at the English Wikipedia.

I would like to ask you to take part in Google Code-In as a mentor. That would mean to prepare at least one task (it can be documentation related, or something else - the other categories are Code, Design, Quality Assurance and Outreach) for the participants, and help the student to complete it. Please sign up at the contest page and send us your Google account address to google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org, so we can invite you in!

From my own experience, Google Code-In can be fun, you can make several new friends, attract new people to your wiki and make them part of your community.

If you have any questions, please let us know at google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org.

Thank you!

IP Reversion[edit]

That IP is correct; you reverted and reported the wrong person while the correct vandal has been duly blocked. You then reverted the IP's complaint about it on your talk page. I think you should own up and apologize for the error, although that is up to you. Have a good day! – John M Wolfson (talkcontribs) 00:59, 4 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding this revision: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Rendering_(computer_graphics)&curid=6604&diff=1202881246&oldid=1202522147

I assume that was done to fix a validation error, because it was "cite book" and it had a journal= attribute, right? Should it be changed to "cite journal" instead? KaiaVintr (talk) 20:01, 3 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
