Please can I keep the Sungmin picture that I posted? It's April Fools' Day soon and I was just having some fun. That's it. Orchidork (talk) 23:59, 31 March 2013 (UTC)

I'm sorry, but you can't keep the picture. You're really not ever supposed to vandalize Wikipedia articles, even on April Fools' Day. --I dream of horses (T) @ 00:02, 1 April 2013 (UTC)
Okay, fine. You're right. I apologize. Although, before I read your message back to me, I changed the picture again. Again, I apologize. Orchidork (talk) 00:06, 1 April 2013 (UTC)
Don't worry about it. It takes a bit, sometimes, to adjust to the expectations of Wikipedia. --I dream of horses (T) @ 00:07, 1 April 2013 (UTC)

Hey, sorry about that. I was doing some vandal hunting, I must've accidentally copied and pasted. A little misunderstanding... lol. Well, message me if you have any q's. Ciao, --TheresAStormComingBuddy (talk) 23:04, 2 April 2013 (UTC)

Correct use of copypaste template

I noticed that you removed the copypaste template I placed on Fisheye State Routing—did I use the template incorrectly? I'd like to avoid repeating a possible mistake. – 29611670.x (talk) 06:32, 3 April 2013 (UTC)

I removed it because it didn't appear to be a copy and paste.
I have to wonder, though. Did you copy the article from a book? --I dream of horses (T) @ 20:07, 3 April 2013 (UTC)
I didn't create the article (or add any content)—however, the current second paragraph does seem to be copied directly from either this page or this book. – 29611670.x (talk) 20:36, 3 April 2013 (UTC)
I removed the potential copyright violation. --I dream of horses (T) @ 20:44, 3 April 2013 (UTC)

You're doing it correctly. I'm just trying to see what you mean by "critical mass" so I can help. --I dream of horses (T) @ 01:35, 4 April 2013 (UTC)
I don't have it written out anyone in detail, but it's a theory that mud wrestling and crazy stuff happens once enough people / rafters / boats stop at the island while floating down the river. Cdjordan82 (talk) 01:44, 4 April 2013 (UTC)
Can you get any secondary sources about it? I dream of horses (T) @ 01:46, 4 April 2013 (UTC)

Why did you unreview it? --I dream of horses (T) @ 22:03, 4 April 2013 (UTC)
Because I think it may be a hoax, and I want other people to take a look at it. Ducknish (talk) 22:05, 4 April 2013 (UTC)
It doesn't seem like a hoax to me. --I dream of horses (T) @ 22:06, 4 April 2013 (UTC)

Deletion of Entry?

Hello:

I saw that my entry for Ross Reynolds (Radio Host) has been suggested for deletion because of multiple issues that do not meet the criteria for inclusion. However, I do not what those issues are but would like to rectify them if possible. Can you please let me know what the multiple issues are? I am new to wikipedia and not so sure how to use the system.

Thanks!

AC — Preceding unsigned comment added by YNKRadio (talkcontribs) 22:18, 4 April 2013 (UTC)

I proposed the article for deletion because of notability issues. Local radio show hosts generally aren't considered important enough to have a Wikipedia article. However, among other things, it appears, based on your user name, that you have a conflict of interest. --I dream of horses (T) @ 23:27, 4 April 2013 (UTC)

Hello:

Thanks for explaining. It seems like other radio hosts like Bill Radke and Brian Lehrer have their own Wikipedia page, so I figured because KUOW is one of the highest rated NPR stations in the country this would count as 'notable.' If possible, I'd love some tips on how to prove notability for next time. As far as the conflict of interest is concerned- you're right, I lvoe radio, so maybe I am not the best person to publish this piece. Thanks for all your help and clarification! Very new to Wikipedia.

Goodgame Empire

Dear I dream of horses,

I would have liked to say that I would like to keep the article. However, it seems that not many people would have supposedly liked to edit Wikipedia. I have no sources to take it from, though I am an active player of it. However, I realized that games such as Jurassic Park Builder were indirectly mentioned though have few players. Last time I checked, Goodgame Empire had about 1.8 million players. If Jurassic Park Builder had a few hundred thousand players, I think Goodgame Empire is worth mentioning. I tried trying to make notes of it, but there was indeed no way for that. So I decided to make a new page. I cannot do everything by myself, though the last section was made by some other guy. I suppose you can delete it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bill649154 (talkcontribs) 11:33, 5 April 2013 (UTC)

The Signpost: 01 April 2013

Seriously?

You really think a COMPLETELY EMPTY section on a page is better than information from an organization's official website about that organization? So instead of leaving the revision, a completely valid revision, in place, you decide that its better for the section to return to being COMPLETELY EMPTY? The section that I revised was a concise and valid summation of the information from the official website that needed to be included under that heading. I cannot fathom why you decided, in all you so infinite wisdom, that nothing at all there was better than what was there. I cannot fathom why you decided to revert to merely a header with nothing under it rather than the perfectly valid description.

I have undone your deletion. If you delete it again, I will undo it again. And so on. There is nothing whatsoever wrong with the information and there was no reason in the world that it should have been deleted or that an empty section should be preferable.

Actually, I can do it very well by now. --I dream of horses (T) @ 20:17, 7 April 2013 (UTC)

Couple of small suggestions:

  1. Users editing with AWB most likely don't have an deep interest in the article. For example, I was just passing through. The top contributors are the folks who actually care.
  2. Probably a minor mistake on your part, but the New Section button is very useful. I can look at a watchlist and see that someone started a new topic, rather than being temporarily confused as to if they were commenting on the last one.

Thanks,• Jesse V.(talk) 01:28, 8 April 2013 (UTC)

  1. You're right, but I want to give procedural deletion notifications to too many people than too few.
  2. The procedural notification template provides a section header. "Add a new section", therefore, would add two level two section headers instead of just one. --I dream of horses (T) @ 01:30, 8 April 2013 (UTC)
Ah, thank you for explaining. That makes sense. :) • Jesse V.(talk) 03:45, 8 April 2013 (UTC)

Hello i dream of horses,

I am DPWinslow and currently a senior at UNH looking to create a wikipedia article as a class project. The class is an upper level English course focused on contemporary Native American authors. My author is Melissa Tanataquidgeon Zobel and I've had a couple issues in creating the article. First of all, in my sandbox, I have all of the references and internal links properly done. However, when I copied and pasted the information into the "create article" section where it is now pending, none of the links transferred just the text. I believe it will be rejected since it doesn't include the links. I wanted to know how to make exactly what is in my sandbox become the content for article submission. The other issue is that I inadvertently created an article titled "Melissa Tantaquidgeon Zobel", and once again the text was all that transferred and not the links. I deleted the article and the blank page received the speed deletion process. Now I can't create my article because of this prior error, since the page already exists. How can I create the article with all its references and links as it is displayed in my sandbox? I am very new to Wikipedia and would appreciate any assistance.

Best regards,

Parker WinslowDPWinslow (talk) 15:13, 9 April 2013 (UTC)

I've tried search for both Melissa Tanataquidgeon Zobel and Melissa Tantaquidgeon Zobel; neither of them seem to be in existence at the moment. Are you, perhaps, talking about a article for creation entry?
Also, though I am quite experienced in some areas of Wikipedia, I've never written an article. So, I've never encountered the problem you have. Sorry. I dream of horses (T) @ 00:51, 10 April 2013 (UTC)
Parker, I happened upon your question here. If you have to ask how to publish an article, you don't publish an article; you submit it to Articles for Creation by adding the appropriate template to the page, and waiting very patiently. ^_^ You don't copy and paste any contents anywhere. Let me know if you need any help. Smuckola (talk) 06:22, 10 April 2013 (UTC)

Careless revert

i noticed that on March 31, 2013 you reverted an edit to Synchronicity (The Police album) by an IP address editor, calling it a test edit/vandalism. The editor was undoing two instances of obvious vandalism. One, the selectively changing of the name of the song "3 O'Clock Shit" to "3 O'Clock Shot". Two, the crediting of the backing vocals on the album to Stewart Copeland and Andy Summers, when they are obviously by Sting. Sting has a very distinctive voice, and certainly no one would confuse him with Stewart Copeland and Andy Summers, much less both of them!

Please be more careful about what you revert, and especially about what you dismiss as vandalism. My apologies if I seem ill-tempered in this post, but editors blindly labeling anything an IP address editor does as vandalism is a pet peeve of mine. Some of the most constructive editors I know on Wikipedia are IP address editors, and they get enough grief from overenthusiastic anti-vandalism bots without having to deal with the same from flesh-and-blood editors.--NukeofEarl (talk) 14:26, 10 April 2013 (UTC)

You are aware that most of my reverts are, in fact, not mistakes? --I dream of horses (T) @ 14:43, 10 April 2013 (UTC)
Are you saying that your edit was deliberate vandalism?--NukeofEarl (talk) 15:05, 10 April 2013 (UTC)
No. I am saying that, yes, I make mistakes (note that I used the word "MOST of my reverts..."), and I don't appreciate your ill-tempered message. I dream of horses (T) @ 15:07, 10 April 2013 (UTC)
As explained in my original post, the reason I am ill-tempered is not because you made a simple mistake (something I do all the time), but that you blindly and falsely accused another editor of vandalism. The fact that you refuse to acknowledge the latter as being wrong suggests to me that you have some beef with IP address editors; whatever it is, I suggest you drop it, in accordance with basic Wikipedia principles on civility and neutrality. Since you are aggravating my temper to the point where further posts from me are likely to be counter-productive, anything else you post to me on this subject will go unread.--NukeofEarl (talk) 16:00, 10 April 2013 (UTC)
Even though this post will, most likely, go unread, I will like to publicly state that actually, I don't have a beef against IP editors. In fact, something nobody will see in my contributions is the fact that I pass most IP edits by. I dream of horses (T) @ 16:08, 10 April 2013 (UTC)

I am reverting your change on the Shepherd Smith page

Hi, I recently updated the Shepherd Smith page to indicate he was included on the 2013 list of Out magazine's most powerful gay individuals. I was trying to include informed commentary on the allegations that he is a closeted gay man. This is information relevant to his page, as his sexual orientation is discussed widely in the media, including the documentary Outrage. Please do not change my edit, as I am including at least 5 different sources, including the article that sparked the allegations in 2005. I am also noting that he presents himself as heterosexual and hasn't come out as gay, although I don't have a specific source for that...it's hard to have a source confirming a person hasn't said something. Anyway, thanks, and let me know if there are any other issues! Cat spasms (talk) 21:42, 10 April 2013 (UTC)

Your nonconstructive revert on 2012 Italian shooting in the Arabian Sea

I've left message for you on the 2012 Italian shooting in the Arabian Sea article's talk page and am willing to continue any discussion on the TALK page of the article directly (so that other readers can follow the discussion and perhaps contribute with constructive opinions).

Here is the message posted at the talk page [1]

@User talk:I dream of horses: Most wikipedia contributors take time to contribute in improving articles in good faith.

Your revert action of my contributions took you just a few seconds but in the process destroyed work on the article which took me a few hours to compile & collate data, imagine text layout schemes, optimize texts (for display on desktop and mobile devices), etc.,

Looking at your talk page archives I see that you have a track-record of often resorting to deletions/reverts and then claim that it was a 'mistake'. This attitude is really not constructive.

I will however take time to explain the methodology of text editing in my contributions.

Specifically compare diffs [2] and understand that I have NOT DELETED any of the text contributed by user "Aries force" but simply REGROUPED the text it together with other text excerpts from the Alessandro Piroli report.

With your reference to my edit [3], do keep in mind that

  • 1/ we are dealing with many quotes which are no more than partial sentences and which
  • 2/ are not readily incorporable into article when translated with an online translation tool (see for yourself [4] & [5]) and
  • 3/ therefore need to be completed with publicly available investigation data/info, like for example Indian/Italian court affidavits (which can be considered genuine since they were vetted and submitted under oath by State actors), so that a more intelligible translation of the text can be provided and
  • 4/ be improved as and when new details emerge or become noticed

This is this methodology that I have used in recompiling the numerous extracts of the Alessandro Piroli report that were contained in various parts of the article (and also elsewhere on the internet) into one sub-section.

For all the above-stated reasons, kindly note that I have reverted your deletion of my contribution.

In view of your track-record of repeated reverts/deletions of contributions on Wikipedia, I have placed a EDIT WARNING on your talk page and will be obliged to escalate the matter if you continue to cause disruption to the article.

If you have any suggestions to improve this article, then please make it here instead of deleting contributions without offering any alternative solutions.

81.240.166.234 (talk) 23:40, 11 April 2013 (UTC)

Hello, I dream of horses. You have new messages at Talk:2012 Italian shooting in the Arabian Sea.
Message added 00:55, 12 April 2013 (UTC). You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on 2012 Italian shooting in the Arabian Sea. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.

Tarek Fatah wiki

Sir:

I am a person who completed his Master of Science in Applied Mathematics during the same time Mr. Fatah was a student in Karachi University. When I read about him on Wikipedia, I was surprised to find out that the facts about him were not shown properly. For example it was never mentioned that he was on the pay roll of KGB at that time. He moved to Saudi Arabia where he was an ardent enemy of the said country. Sharia Laws in Saudi Arabia were acceptable to him for his 10 years of staying in Saudi Arabia where as he criticized very, very harshly in Canada. Did he mention truthfully that he was a Communist and a paid agent of KGB when he filled his papers to move to Canada? Legaly he could not move into North america if he was a paid agent of KGB? I think these and many other facts should be presented in his biography as he is a public figure now.

I will appreciate if I should be allowed to enter my findings about him on Wikipedia.

Thanks,

Re Kermit Gosnell edit

I deleted the "Media Coverage" section because the only sentence in it was nonsensical on its face (how can there be "virtually no mainstream media coverage" on a topic whose page links to dozens of articles from well-known newspapers and TV stations?) and it seemed pointless to leave the heading there with nothing under it. Minor Edits?

Hi! I noticed that all of your edits are marked as being minor edits. A while back I helped someone who had the minor box checked by default with no way to turn it off except manually clicking on the box every time. Are you by any chance having this problem? --Guy Macon (talk) 04:55, 15 April 2013 (UTC)

It's the same way with me, but (1. I don't think ALL of my edits are marked as "minor". Sometimes, I uncheck it. (2. Since I'm quite a WikiGnome, I don't really mind my edits being checked as "minor" as a problem. In fact, it's quite convenient.
You'll have to realize that a lot of my edits are done by semi-automated anti-vandalism programs, which may check the edit as minor automatically. --I dream of horses (T) @ 04:58, 15 April 2013 (UTC)
No need to post a talkback notice on my talk page. I watchlist any page I post to.
The problem is that some of those edits are types of edit that are listed at Help:Minor edit#When not to mark an edit as a minor edit. That page also says "A minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute." Certainly the Huggle reverts of obvious vandalism should be marked as minor, but edits such as this one should not. The removal was fine -- it did have a POV problem -- but it wasn't obvious vandalism. --Guy Macon (talk) 05:18, 15 April 2013 (UTC)
On the other hand, I'm not entirely sure how to turn that off on Huggle. Sorry. I dream of horses (T) @ 05:49, 15 April 2013 (UTC)

What's the with vandalism?

I'm seeing you attacking Taipei Adventist Preparatory Academy. What's up? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Webby37 (talkcontribs) 04:06, 16 April 2013 (UTC)

Reverting a penis joke isn't an "attack", nor is it vandalism. In fact, it is a revert of vandalism. --I dream of horses (T) @ 04:10, 16 April 2013 (UTC)

CNet

My CNET edits aren't vandalism. If you have a way to disprove my edit, please do so. However, proving something that isn't true is impossible. Sooo good luck with that. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Twinsorg (talkcontribs) 08:12, 16 April 2013 (UTC)

Calling a company "parasitic" is your own personal opinion, and therefore, doesn't belong on Wikipedia, which tries its' best to be neutral. --I dream of horses (T) @ 19:27, 16 April 2013 (UTC)

Pony

Hi, I saw your request for protection of your userpage. Have a pony, he'll stand guard. (Courcelles has also wikiprotected the page.) Bishonen | talk 12:28, 16 April 2013 (UTC).

Have a pony!
Aww, a pony to chase, bite and kick away the vandals. Thank you. :-)
By the way, I am pronouncing your screen name internally in a similar fashion to the correct pronunciation of Bichon Frise. Are you familiar with the dog breed at all? --I dream of horses (T) @ 19:29, 16 April 2013 (UTC)
[Ignorantly:] Well, I think it's Japanese… (the name, not the breed). Wait a minute. Aha, here's the ogg link from the Bishounen article! And yes, I've seen those curly little dogs. I'm not very curly, though. Bishonen | talk 20:24, 17 April 2013 (UTC).
What does Bishonen mean? I dream of horses (T) @ 20:26, 17 April 2013 (UTC)
Click on my link, there's a whole article about it. Bishounen. Bishonen | talk 20:29, 17 April 2013 (UTC).
Oh, cool. A pretty boy, basically. --I dream of horses (T) @ 20:31, 17 April 2013 (UTC)

Hello I would like to apologize if any vulgar content was seen on the Black Bultler page. Due to 13 year old immature boys taking over my ipad they thought it would be funny to insult my beloved manga Black Butler. I am sorry again and I will make sure to inform them about how their behavior can have an impact on certin people. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.24.164.222 (talk) 15:17, 18 April 2013 (UTC)

Miss Dominican Republic 2012

Hi, I just deleted some information from the Miss Dominican Republic 2012 article and I got a boiler plate message from you notifying me that you had reverted this. The reason I'm assuming it was a boiler plate message is because the message says that I removed the info without explaining why when in fact I did.

Check the edit history and you will see this as my explanation:

"These scores are made up. No scores were showed at the pageant. There is no source for these scores."

This is a problem for many Miss Dominican Republic articles. Someone has added alleged scores to these articles when no score were shown at the pageant and without any verifiable source for these scores. 70.45.68.2 (talk) 03:39, 19 April 2013 (UTC)

My apologies. I have struck out my warning, and undid my revert. I dream of horses (T) @ 03:43, 19 April 2013 (UTC)

Welcome Message Response

Thank you for your feedback and suggestions. I have requested a change of username. I feel the contributions to the page are neutral, but will happily take your advice on asking you or another editor to proofread. New to Wikipedia and appreciate your advice! Sculpture by the Sea (talk) 05:29, 19 April 2013 (UTC)

Yeah, the username change is probably a good idea, but it wasn't like your edits urgently needed to be reverted. I think you'll be fine. :-) --I dream of horses (T) @ 05:32, 19 April 2013 (UTC)

Unexplained removal

Unnecessary and unexplained removal is a sign of WP:IDONTLIKEIT of sourced and reliable information/clean up/improvement which is according to the {{Multiple issues |refimprove=August 2009 |notability=October 2012}} on the Walt Disney Platinum and Diamond Editions page that I am trying to do. If you do not like the changes I am making to improve the page please bring them up on the talk page and please refrain from removing sourced information without explanation in the future. Thanks!

Changes about the Star Diamond Award

Dear " I Dream of Horses" Recently you changed our article. I just want to notify you that all the information in the current wikipedia page is false and it might hurt our brand. Can you please give me some guidance of how should I proceed

Regarding The Host movie edit

Regarding this edit: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Host_(2013_film)?diff=551180633

According to http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1517260/ratings?ref_=tt_ov_rt

this movie clearly receives high USER ratings from younger audiencies.

Also 11834 IMDb users have given a weighted average vote of 5.9 / 10.

This is not represented at all in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Host_%282013_film%29#Reception
which IMHO is clearly biased towards negative reviews.

"Stephenie Meyer (née Morgan; pron.: /ˈmaɪ.ər/ my-ər; born December 24, 1973) is an American __young adult__ author and producer,"

So this movie's INTENDED audience clearly likes it. So it should be represented in wikipedia page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Host_%282013_film%29#Reception 78.84.0.241 (talk) 20:27, 19 April 2013 (UTC)

Dear Dream Of Horses. I edited Su-35 section.

China simply is not interested in the Su-35 plane itself and only have slight interests in its 117S engine. Russia has been trying desperately to sell China Su-35 for more than 10 years and so far failed every time.

Su-35 failed to secure a single export order and its records tells about

Therefore, I moved China from potential operator to failed bid section.

Thank you.

Malicious behavior

Until you stop having it out for people and deleting everything they do just because they do it as you misidentified something as "vandalism" in the first place, you need to step back from being a moderator. Malicious behavior is unbecoming and unnecessary, not to mention ridiculous. Going back time and again to delete something that is completely valid just because you don't happen to agree with it is childish and stupid. You might make valid contributions here according to people who aren't in your crosshairs, but those of us who have been know what it is you're doing and why you're doing it. You also need to learn the meanings of the words you use, "vandalism" is not just something you don't happen to agree with.

Politics in Oklahoma

You removed an external link I created on the Politics of Oklahoma wiki that went to the Oklahomans For Fair Elections page. This webpage is relevant to politics in Oklahoma and should not have been removed. I'm confused as to how you determined it to be inappropriate to an online encyclopedia. Please kindly refrain from removing it again in the future. Thank you. 108.169.251.231 (talk) 23:25, 23 April 2013 (UTC)

Revert on my talk page

Hi there. I noticed you reverted part of a conversation I was having with an anonymous editor on my talk page. I reverted your reversion so I could finish the conversation, but I must ask, is there something you know about that editor that I should know? Thanks. ~Amatulić (talk) 23:19, 23 April 2013 (UTC)

Not sure why I reverted the edit--I might've pushed the wrong button. --I dream of horses (T) @ 00:30, 24 April 2013 (UTC)
Not a problem - I just thought you might have seen something that I missed. No harm done. Thanks. ~Amatulić (talk) 07:29, 24 April 2013 (UTC)

It may not seem constructive to you, but it is true - no doctor /medical officer should ever certify death without MLC(postmortem examination) being done. Whether you agree with me or not, and whether you let me save the changes or not, I must tell you that in all cases of unexpected, unexplained or unknown cause of death, certificates should not be issued without proper police procedures being followed, and the current practice being followed in India is incorrect and can land the certifying doctor in trouble.

2. You weren't being civil ("You must be joking!", etc.). Therefore, your edit wasn't constructive. --I dream of horses (T) @ 16:37, 25 April 2013 (UTC)

All caps in hidden text

About removing all caps this diff: There's not really a good reason to put wikimarkup into hidden text, because it won't display. The text you changed is a subst'd template ({{No more links}}), not article text. WhatamIdoing (talk) 02:49, 29 April 2013 (UTC)
