Salt[edit]

This kind of thing isn't funny at all - not because it's inappropriate but because it's just not witty. It would have been funny if you had pointed out they arrived at Perth Airport after presumably cycling across the Indian Ocean. Or if you had pointed out that bamboo was naturally buoyant and resistant to salt. Or if you'd casually mentioned a bridge from Thailand to Australia. But put like that, with no elaboration, no subtlety, no authenticity, it's not just wrong, it's low-effort. In the four months it was there no-one noticed it, no-one laughed. Him alayin' Sea Salt?
Re- ...isn't funny at all
Well, I for one, found it mildly amusing. Your crude attempt at chastising me is for naught. Puns and light humour do indeed appear to generate the occasional chuckle, particularly when they point out a clumsy way of describing things.
Re- It is uncertain which ocean(s) they pedaled across, or how well the bamboo frames withstood the effects of salt water.
Note my use of the word "uncertain". In no way would I have said "they must have..." or "they obviously had to..."
Re- no-one noticed it, no-one laughed.
For fun, I COULD say "Citation(s) please." but I'll let it go at this. You obviously needed to belittle or insult someone. Feel better now?

I thank you for your kind and thoughtful correction. You are indeed an editor of exemplary talent, even if you did boast about it yourself. I even learned a few things from your User-page! Migod! David Attenborough was once in a Hollywood movie?
Correction- Oh, wait! That was his late brother, Lord Dickie. Well he was a rich actor fop anyhow. No news here. Though I did like the movie Gandhi...

Nevertheless, I stand in awe of your astonishing talents.
Please feel free to correct my syntax herein, particularly those pesky commas- Oxford, Cambridge and otherwise. I am but a lowly Wikipedia user / pissant.
