Nikola is a static site generator programmed in Python developed by the Argentine Roberto Alsina in 2012. Nikola uses the Jinja2 and Mako template system and has default support for Markdown, reStructuredText and Jupiter Notebook^[1] markup languages. Nikola allows you to use custom plugins and themes, but it does not have a great variety because it is not very popular.
