Samuel Edmonston (5 June 1825 - February 1906) was a Scottish painter.[1]
Life[edit]
His father was Francis Edmunston (18 June 1799 - 21 May 1865), an engraver from Edinburgh.
His mother was Janet Emerson (born c. 1800). Francis and Janet married on 6 April 1823 in Duddingston, Edinburgh.
Samuel Edmonston was born on 5 June 1825 in Edinburgh.
He married Jane Young Douglas (6 June 1818 - 1912) from Stoneykirk, Dumfries and Galloway. They married in Portobello, Edinburgh on 25 November 1863.
