Notability and tone of article[edit]

This article reads like an extended author biography. It is sourced almost entirely from the subject's own works. To clean up (and avoid deletion) it needs to have more reliable 3rd party quotes that establish the subjects position in the field and responses to him. Furthermore, a large part of the article is outlining his beliefs/positions and is written in a style that sounds like the writer is trying to interpret Smoley's writings.
