Revert changes to picture[edit]

I am going to revert to the last version before the changes made by user Poeticbent for the following reasons:

  1. There is no "standard formatting" for the cite-web template;
  2. The picture is not an "illustration" of a scene in the opera, so the new "template" with the opera-title in the header is inappropriate;
  3. The picture refers to the story on which the libretto is based, as mentioned in the Synopsis section; therefore that is where the picture should be;
  4. One of the great features of Wikipedia are its internal links; so why remove the wikilinked name of the painter from the caption?

A learning experience[edit]

  1. Commonly used formatting for the cite-web template is available at Template:Cite web. See section Examples. The reason is that, in popup windows line-breaks in <refs> appear as formatting mistakes.
  2. Painting (with better caption) is next to the list of roles right now, which is fine.
  3. Synopsis section is moved up like in other similar articles.
  4. Pedro Américo of Brazil is now linked.

Thanks for the help, Poeticbent talk 19:01, 19 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
