I added the toofewopinions template because this article only focuses on DeLanda's interpretation of Deleuze and Guattari's assemblage concept, and completely ignores the way assemblage is used in posthumanist theory (e.g. Rosi Braidotti's 2022 book Posthumanist Feminism) and feminist new materialist theory (e.g. Jane Bennett's Vibrant Matter) and in anthropology (e.g. Anna Tsing). I'll expand the article as soon as I have time, because it's really misleading now. Maybe other editors are aware of other uses of assemblage as well. --Lijil (talk) 18:53, 12 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. Building upon the template that calls for a diversity of viewpoints, I described the introduction of an assemblage perspective to 1. describe the philosophical approach, and then introduce its multiple viewpoints. I am using the scientific article by Diaz Ruiz et al (2020) pages 1002-1004 to explain some of the similarities and differences (the article discusses the overlaps and differences between multiple 'assemblage' perspectives). I think that other editors can develop in the body of the article how each specific approach has similarities and differences, but at least, this should be a starting point. --MexFin (talk) 09:46, 22 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Shouldn't this article be combined with the article Assemblage_theory? Karenor (talk) 17:04, 11 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Yes! However, there is no information in Assemblage_theory that is not already in this article, so I have suggested deleting the other article instead of merging. --Lijil (talk) 18:53, 12 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
