Wikipedia:Requested moves/Technical requests
If you are unable to complete a move for technical reasons, you can request technical help below. This is the correct method if you tried to move a page, but you got an error message saying something like "You do not have permission to move this page, for the following reasons:..." or "The/This page could not be moved, for the following reason:..."
If you are here because you want an admin to approve of your new article or your proposed page move, you are in the wrong place.

the - If you object to a proposal listed in the uncontroversial technical requests section, please move the request to the Contested technical requests section, append a note on the request elaborating on why, and sign with ~~~~. Consider pinging the requester to let them know about the objection.
- If your technical request is contested, or if a contested request is left untouched without reply, create a requested move on the article talk and remove the request from the section here. The fastest and easiest way is to click the "discuss" button at the request, save the talk page, and remove the entry on this page.

- Popular (The Weeknd, Playboi Carti and Madonna song) → Popular (The Weeknd and Madonna song) (currently a redirect back to Popular (The Weeknd, Playboi Carti and Madonna song)) (move · discuss) – This was reverted for no reason as Amakuru said that all artists are credited equally. However, this is not the case as I have provided a source for this and can add more if needed. Playboi Carti is a featured artist as per streaming services and chart credits, so his name does not go in the disambiguator. - Amakuru provided a reason. You need to initiate a full fledged RM on the article's talk page if you feel that the current title doesn't fit in very much. ─ The Aafī (talk) 13:23, 6 September 2023 (UTC)
- I think we can declare this request to be old news. I see that there was some previous controversy over who is or isn't "featured" in the song due to inconsistent listings at streaming services. But just look at the cover art, which lists all three musicians equally. That nails the coffin shut and there's not much reason for further argument. ---DOOMSDAYER520 (TALK|CONTRIBS) 14:03, 6 September 2023 (UTC)
- List of German queens → Queen of the Romans (currently a redirect back to List of German queens) (move · discuss) – Consistency with closely-related article King of the Romans (and Category:Kings of the Romans). See Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Log/2023 September 5#Category:German queens consort where moving the category is in progress. NLeeuw (talk) 07:12, 6 September 2023 (UTC)
- Looking at the two articles, List of German queens is a very list-focused article, while King of the Romans is less listed-focused. There's also the issue of List of German monarchs, which List of German queens is more closely related to. Also worth noting, not every name on the list of German queens was actually queen of the Romans, several of the earlier queens were queen of the (East) Franks. estar8806 (talk) ★ 13:34, 6 September 2023 (UTC)
- This seems surprising enough to merit a full discussion. Even if their title was Queens of the Romans, that doesn't necessarily mean it's the common term used. SnowFire (talk) 20:31, 6 September 2023 (UTC)
- aSmallWorld → ASMALLWORLD (currently a redirect back to ASmallWorld) (restricted by the titleblacklist, which page movers can override) (move · discuss) – The name stylised as 'aSmallWorld' fell out of use in the late 2000s, since which time its been ASMALLWORLD RoryASW (talk) 11:27, 7 September 2023 (UTC)
